Volunteering

It's our heart to reach out to women and see them restored, and we're only able to do this with the help of our wonderful volunteers. We have a fantastic volunteer team at Jericho Road and there are lots of different opportunities to get involved: from going on outreach, through to baking cakes for the women, or organising fundraisers to support the work that we are doing.

We are blessed with a number of volunteers without whom the running of this project would not be possible. There are a number of volunteering oppotunities such as becoming part of our prayer network, becoming a 'befriender' to one of the women, helping out at life centre, joining the outreach team, visiting clients in prison, visiting women involved in off-street prostitution, driving our minibus or bringing any other special skills or abilities you feel may benefit the project. Prospective volunteers need to fill in an application form, attend an informal interview and come along to basic training before starting to volunteer. We also ask for two references, and some volunteers may need a DBS check. All of our volunteers are highly trained and we ensure that teams are well supported, with on-going training events, team times and one-to-one support from a member of staff.
